Data privacy statement

With the following statement we fulfill our legal information requirement and inform you about the storage of data, the type of data, their intended purpose as well as our identity. We also describe the first-time transmission and the type of transmitted data.

1. Subject of data privacy
The subject of data privacy in question is personal data. This is specific information about the personal or factual situation of a specified person, or of a natural person that can be determined. For example name, postal address, e-mail address but also usage data such as the IP address of a computer.

2. Automatic anonymous collection, handling and use of data
We collect, handle or use automatically non-personal information that your browser transmits to us (cookies). This information consists of:
– browser type/version
– operating system
– referrer URL (source of a link)
– IP address (host name of the server that is used),
– time of the server request

With most web browsers, it is possible through the ‘setting function’ in the menu bar to select a setting so that no new cookies are accepted in the future, or that cookies that are already installed are turned off. However, this can lead to difficulties in using individual functions on the internet page. If you would nevertheless like to reduce the use of cookies, make sure that every computer and every browser you work with have the desired protection level.

3. Induced person-related data collection, handling and use
In principle, collecting and using person-related data are not necessary in order to use the internet page. We do not perform such activities.

The collection, handling or usage of data happens only if you intentionally provide your person-related data. This could be necessary in the following cases:

(1) Registration
Closing a contract requires registration beforehand. This requires that personal data are provided. The following personal data are requested during this process:
– last name,  first name
– address
– e-mail address
– telephone number

(2) Newsletter
If you would like to receive our newsletter, then we need a working email address that belongs to you, as well as other personal data that allows us to control whether you are the owner of that email address. You can cancel your consent to save the personal information, the email address and your consent to use the address to send the newsletter at any time.

(3) Closing a contract
It may be necessary to pass on your personal data to companies we use in order to provide a service or process a contract. These could be, for example, transport companies or other service providers. Data is only passed on to the extent necessary to conduct business. Beyond that, no data is passed on to third parties.

(4) Transferring to third parties and transferring to state institutions and authorities.
Passing on data to third parties in other cases only happens if you have agreed to this beforehand. You have the right to revoke your given consent for the future at any time.

We pass on data to state institutions and authorities that have a right to information only as part of our legal responsibilities or due to a court decision.

(5) Advertising
We use the personal data of the client for the purpose of trading addresses or for advertising. However, only if you have provided your consent (see below).

(6) Transferring data abroad
In principle, we do not transfer any data that we collect abroad.

(7) Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of how the website is used by you. The information generated by Google Analytics about your use of this website (including your IP address) is normally transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to analyze your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies through the settings on your browser software. However, we wish to point out that if you do that, you may not be able to use all the functions on this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of personal data by the cookie and data on how you use the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following plug-in, which can be found on this link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Given the discussion about using analytic tools with full IP addresses, we wish to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIP”. That means IP addresses are only processed in a shortened form in order to prevent identifying a specific person.

4. Minors
We are particularly interested in protecting the personal data of children. For this reason, there is no intentional collection, processing or use of data of minors, unless the legal guardians consent to this. If we notice that minors provide personal data themselves without this consent or personal data about minors is entered, we will delete this data immediately.

5. Right to information
The customer always has the possibility to request information about the personal data that has been saved about him or her. This includes information about the source of this data, the recipient or categories of recipients to whom the data is passed on, as well as the purpose of saving the data.

6. Deletion and blockage
We pledge to delete personal data that has been used for our own purposes, as soon as knowledge of the data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose.  Deletion may be turned into a blockage if legal, statutory or contractual archiving obligations for a certain period are withstanding, or if there is reason to believe that a deletion could violate the interests of the persons concerned that are worth protecting, or if a deletion would only be possible with an disproportionately high effort due to the specific type of storage used.
In addition, you can have data that has been collected about you blocked, corrected or deleted at any time. Deleting the information also happens if you withdraw your consent for the collection, processing and usage of personal data. If the withdrawal of the consent happens during a running business process, then the deletion will happen immediately after the process ends.

Additional legal obligations for deleting and blocking data are not affected by this.

7. Technical and organizational measures
We pledge to take the technical and organizational measures that are necessary to ensure that data privacy rules are upheld, provided the effort is in an appropriate relationship to the intended protection purpose. For communication by email, complete data security cannot be guaranteed by us. Therefore, for sending confidential information, we recommend using postal mail.
